Memlo Events was a fantastic time for me as a tournament organizer.  I have had an incredible following and some tremendous participation from some amazing players.

While I enjoyed putting together the tournaments, I just don’t have the time to do it all by myself any more.  A while back I joined forces with UCS Gaming, https://discord.me/UCSGamingRL, a discord community focused on finding fellow players and participating in tournaments and giveaways as well as sharing clips.  It’s a great place and I’ve casted for them as well as become an admin in the community.  I am definitely behind the scenes, and sometimes at the forefront when casting, in that community and I hope if you see this, you will head to the UCS discord to see the offerings they have.

The two goals I had for Memlo Events were:
1) Host West Coast based tournaments
2) Host tournaments that do not eliminate teams right at the start (allow teams to play a few rounds).

As a result of 2, I found I really enjoyed hosting swiss bracket tournaments.  I think other tournament organizers are finding this to be a great way to keep viewers and players involved longer in the tournament and the difficulty to run them just isn’t there when Smash.gg or Battlefly offer swiss bracket as a native type.

I really would like to see more West Coast tournaments, and maybe as a part of UCS I can do something there to continue that.

Thank you to everyone who has participated, donated, or played in my events.  A special shout out to XenasDaddy and baX who helped cast when I needed assistance.  A huge shoutout to my wife for not killing me when life threw us curveballs and I still hosted Rocket League tournaments.
